In the Sanskrit tradition, Turiya refers to “the fourth” — a state beyond the familiar experience of waking, dreaming and deep sleep. It represents clarity, presence and awareness.

REM

REM is the phase of sleep most closely associated with vivid dreaming. Its presence in the name reflects the inspiration drawn from immersive, dreamlike experiences.

TUREM lives where these inspirations meet. A place where sound becomes a tool for exploring immersive experiences while remaining fully awake.

TUREM grew from decades of working with music and years of creating live sound journeys.

Over time, recurring needs began to emerge: combining several sounds without interrupting the session, responding to the energy of the moment and keeping every essential control within reach.

What began as a practical search for a better way to work with sound gradually became TUREM — a living instrument shaped through listening, experimentation and real experience.

02Is TUREM a DJ application?

No. TUREM is focused on shaping layered sound journeys in real time rather than beat matching, club performance or a conventional DJ workflow.

03Who is TUREM designed for?

TUREM is designed for facilitators, musicians and creators working with live sound journeys, movement, meditation, retreats, immersive experiences and performance.

04Can I use it for Innerdance or breathwork?

TUREM is designed for practices such as Innerdance and breathwork, as well as other sessions where sound needs to respond live to the room.

05Is TUREM free?

TUREM currently offers a free access tier known as FREE. Its availability, features and limits may change in future versions, subject to applicable law and prior information where required.

06What happens after the 14-day PRO trial?

For eligible users, the subscription automatically renews at the displayed PRO price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If cancelled, TUREM returns to FREE when PRO access expires, and Projects remain stored.

07Does TUREM work on iPad?

Yes. iPad is the first confirmed platform for TUREM.

08Is TUREM available for iPhone?

TUREM is designed specifically for iPad. It is not available for iPhone.

09Does TUREM work on Mac?

The first confirmed platform is iPad. Additional platform availability will be announced when it is fully tested and confirmed.

10Can I play several sounds at the same time?

TUREM combines several sound elements in real time. Available controls and behaviour depend on the feature and the current version of TUREM.

11Can I use my own music and sounds?

TUREM supports personal music and sound libraries. Available import and library options are shown directly in the current version of TUREM.

12Will TUREM include original sound banks?

TUREM’s original Sound Banks draw on field recordings, instruments, voices, textures and material gathered through travel and live practice. Availability and details are shown in TUREM and on turem.app as they become available.

13When will TUREM be available?
